Product Staging & Photography for eCommerce Stores and Social Media Feeds
Products tell a story.
Captivating imagery is a necessity in the very visual world in which we live. And because consumers expect high-quality, engaging photography from the brands with whom they interact, it’s never been more true that you only have one shot to make a first impression.

Increased desire means increased sales.
Through product staging in styled interiors, I photograph lifestyle goods with the goal of elevating a company’s professionalism and instilling trust in the quality of its products. And when consumers trust that the product they desire is worth purchasing, they’ll be more apt to add it to their shopping cart.

Clean and simple.
Scenes, surfaces and backdrops don’t have to be complex or overly styled in order to be compelling. In fact, when it comes to ecommerce, the opposite is true. I believe in staging a photograph with room to breathe so that the viewer’s eye is drawn to what’s really important — your product.

Bed head.
With a mindset toward comfort and coziness, the bed is not just a prop for coverlets, pillows, sheets and throws — it can define the structure and architecture of the space. It is also a strong part of the vibe we’re trying to achieve when styling a bedroom set for a photo shoot: modern versus traditional; relaxed versus tailored; or bright versus moody. Scouting for the perfect location could bring us to personal residences, boutique hotels, or luxury model apartment units. Sweet dreams, indeed.

So many options.
If a product is available in multiple colors, every one of them should be represented — and not just as hidden text inside a drop-down list. It’s going to be hard enough for customers to decide which color they actually want to buy, so why make them work even harder? Photographing all available colors in a variety of compositions provides comparison, encourages creativity and inspires choice.

Group fun.
Let’s face it…consumers have seemingly endless options when it comes to home decor products such as pillows. And that sometimes makes it hard for someone without a decorator mindset to determine what goes with what. Styled groupings with pre-set combos make the buying process easier and more enticing, and clear product photo details show off key characteristics.

No hang-ups.
Oversized products — such as scarves, throw blankets, beach towels and other home textiles — require a little creativity in how they’re photographed. I’ll work with you to determine a setup that will showcase your products best (which could include using large seamless backgrounds and props) so that your customers can see the whole picture.

Action.
Still images aren’t the only thing that can sell your product. Short or long form product and interview style videos are great for collection introductions. Compelling narratives, captivating music tracks, and supporting video clips all bring excitement to the story you’re telling.
Let’s get cooking.
